Meet Dr. Whitney

Dr. Whitney Fandel was born and raised in Princeton, IL and completed her undergraduate studies at Illinois State University with a degree in Biological Sciences. From there, she moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 and worked as an associate doctor in Iowa while working on my post-doctorate degree.

In 2014, Dr. Whitney received her Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics rendering her board certified in pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic. In 2015, the doors to Family Tree Chiropractic in Park Ridge, IL were opened .

After working in two previous clinics as an associate, Dr. Whitney knew she wanted to do things differently. It was important to her that Family Tree Chiropractic feel warm and inviting and that our patients feel loved and respected at each visit. Dr. Whitney and her amazing staff strive each day to create an experience in our office to be unlike any other. One where patients are immediately welcomed with a smile and feel a sense of ease just by walking through our doors. They work daily to provide an environment that fully embodies trust, knowledge, hope for healing, and provides world class service to all patients.

Dr. Whitney could not have traveled this journey alone; Dr. Whitney says she had the best support anyone could ask for, her best friend and husband, Dr. “O” Olatunji (YES! He’s also a chiropractor)! They have a beautiful son; Mathias. During their free time, they love to travel and make memories as a family. Dr. Whitney looks forward to serving you!

    Hi, I'm Tyana! I was born in Evanston, Illinois but spent most of my childhood in Belize City, Belize. My family & I moved back to Evanston in 2007 where I would then spend the rest of my childhood & teenage years growing up.

    I was very privileged to have attended & graduated from Evanston Township Highschool in 2018, one of the Top High Schools in the Nation.

    After High School I attended Western Illinois University for about 2 years where I was studying Social Work. During those 2 years school started to feel overwhelming for me & I decided to take a break for my own well-being. I started to work a few odd jobs to keep myself busy, but I was struggling to find a position where I was genuinely happy with working.

    After exploring more options & looking for a position that could open doors for me I came across the Chiropractic Assistant position at Family Tree Chiropractic. I had no background knowledge about chiropractic or what chiropractors do besides crack peoples back, (now I know it's so much more than that and that!) but I interviewed for the opening & was blessed by Dr. Whitney offering me the position!

    I was so happy to know that Dr. Whitney took a chance on me & offered me a title that Im so grateful to have. I am forever honored to have been picked to be apart of a great, hardworking team! It feels good to be a part of helping others feel great!

  • Welcome! I’m Francis.

    I was born and raised in Chicago. I’m happily married with two amazing kids! I’m a proud graduate of Roberto Clemente High School where I learned to be compassionate and humble.

    Prior to joining Family Tree, I worked as a Recreation Leader for the Chicago Park District. I also worked in sales for many years. I love being in an industry where I can connect with people and provide excellent service.

    I’m blessed to work alongside two amazing women who absolutely love doing what they do. It’s an overwhelming feeling of pure love and happiness to be a part of our patients healing journey and improve their quality of life.

    Being a mom, I know the importance of keeping the family happy, healthy and safe. I recommend everyone bring their family to see Dr. Whitney. We help change peoples lives!

What to Expect

Consultation: You will have a 1 on 1 visit with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and the reason for your visit.
Once the doctor determines if this is a case we can help, you can then choose to proceed with the necessary exam and diagnostic tests. We will let you know the cost prior to starting the exam.

Examination: After your initial health consultation, well perform a complete & comprehensive chiropractic exam.

X-rays: A series of X-rays may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. X-rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a spinal condition has been developing.

Report of Findings: Your report of findings will be scheduled the day after your Initial Consultation. This will allow for your doctor to study your exam findings, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose. Your Report of Findings includes a detailed analysis of what is wrong, what needs to be done, and how long we expect it to take for you to feel and function at your best. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.

Ongoing: Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during the visit will depend on the doctor's recommendations.

  • Dr. Whitney uses hands-on adjusting technique to remove nerve interference and restore the body to its optimal state of health. She specializes in specific adjustments that are safe and effective for all ages and conditions. Dr. Whitney has extensive training in the specific prone, Webster technique, zone technique, diversified, upper cervical, and extremity adjustments.

  • Most insurance plans are accepted at our office. We accept auto accident, personal injury and most health insurance plans, including Medicare Part B. Since there are so many plans and coverage varies widely, please contact us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Our staff will be happy to verify and explain your benefits before treatment begins.

    Family Tree Chiropractic believes in the value of wellness care for you and your family and have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.

    If you have no insurance or do not have chiropractic benefits, there is still a way for you to receive the care you need. Many patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely cost-effective and affordable.

About Our Office

Our premier chiropractic office is conveniently located in the Renaissance Park area at 1440 Renaissance Dr., Suite 120, Park Ridge. We want to make getting the care you and your loved ones deserve convenient, which is why we offer same-day appointments for all patients. New patients and walk-ins are always welcome.

We are in network Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Medicare Part B. However, we often work with other insurance companies on an out of network basis, like United and Aetna. If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or receiving care in our office, our staff would love to help you.
